My Child
My child could only stay awhile
Not long enough for just one smile
When I saw his perfect face
I knew this could'nt be his place.
I held him close and began to pray
Please God could'nt you let him stay,
But it was'nt meant to be
He was only lent to me.
He had to go to Heaven above
To live with angels in perfect love
Leaving here on earth with me
An everlasting memory.

Angel
I saw him in the woods one day
His face, it took my breath away
Tall and straight, he seemed not there
Yet I would know him anywhere.
I stood and watched as he passed by
So close we could have touched
I longed to reach out to golden hair
Tall and straight, he seemed not there.
He was the only one for me
Somehow I knew it could never be

I saw golden wings, light as air.
He turned and smiled, all he could give
As he rose high into the morning sky
Tall and straight, he seemed not there
Though he is, everywhere.

Little Miss Meggy
A tiny child came to stay,
What joy she brought to each day,
Her lovely face, her cheeky smile,
How easy for her to beguile.
We met just a short while ago,
Nevertheless I love her so,
Great big eyes, soft blonde hair,
Like a doll, tiny and fair.
This little treasure, who�s far away
Stays close within my heart,
There she has a special place
Little Meggy, child of grace.
